The first fanart collection of "Evangelion". It contains 31 winning works from the "Evangelion" Battle Artwork Contest held on pixiv in March 2021, in which over 3,900 works participated, as well as 56 popular works from the 65,000 pieces of "Evangelion" fan artworks posted on pixiv.

Created for a Deviantart hosted competition I participated in 2018, where I was awarded a semi finalist position. The brief was to create an in-universe mech based in the hometown of your country, which at the time for me, was Sydney.

This was a very difficult decision to make. I was surprised to see so many entries and in so many mediums! I ultimately decided to pick this art because I loved the theme of the game's dual protagonists and their AI-Balls in a fisheye (heh, get it, eye?) lens. The pose and colors are so cool. And so many details like the hair and eyes. Really great piece!
